Zine

Brief

Create a 12 page zine on the theme of a sport or a musical genre or artist.
Use any analogue process to realise a dynamic graphic approach to present that theme. We want you to produce artwork through analogue means, that means no Photoshop, and definitely no AI. We also want you to have fun with it, this introductory project to Year 3 is about getting creative, messy and making the most of the facilities we have here on campus. Start by researching designers and studios who work with analogue processes, visit the library to find books on hand-generated graphic design. Visit the print workshops and use any print process you can, use the photocopier, use your hands, make things.
Once you have a set of graphics you need to create an artwork file that can be printed on newspaper stock in a tabloid format via the Newspaper Club.
Page size is 289x380mm
The idea of the zine is to promote that theme in a different and unique way, so try and avoid common visual tropes and visual cliches associated with the theme.
