Birthday Beer

Brief

West Walls Brewing Co. is celebrating its first birthday with a special beer release and a weekend-long celebration.
This project is a collaborative effort with the Cumbria University, involving both Illustration and Graphic Design students. The main deliverable is the illustration artwork for the can and keg badge, designed to fit onto an existing can design template.

RESEARCH

A look at breweries with fresh and interesting designs.
I went into the supermarket to look at the beers on the shelves and then went home and researched the ones that I thought looked cool.

Idea

I had an idea for a western themed beer, I wanted to think outside of the box as all of the beers I saw in the supermarket had interesting designs. I was thinking about West walls, and the number one (as the beer is a birthday themed beer) and I had the idea for a beer named wild one, which brings together Wild West and the number one. I think that this will work well as it is a summer beer, and the desert and desert colour palette works well with a summer / fruit theme.
Some alternate names I thought of were hoppy birthday / sip sip hooray.
