Design a 3D paper toy, that looks like you - to be presented alongside your final cut out design.

research
Before designing my paper toy, I researched by looking at some of the resources mentioned in the brief. I liked Matt Hawkin's style of paper toys. I initially wanted to design my own paper toy completely from my own measurements and net design, however once trying this out I discovered my head wasn't as 3D as I would have liked. I resolved this by printing a couple of ready - made designs out and making them to see what worked and what didn't, and the kind of style that I may like to use for my own paper toy. One of the designs I printed out was not very durable and came apart easily, so when creating my own design I added larger and different shaped flaps for stability. I printed out my initial head design and found out that it fit together well, and seemed durable, so I was happy with this. I then went on to add the features, design the rest of the toy, and personalise the paper toy to my likeness.
