RESEARCH

Freedom
For this project, I mind mapped every brief, and then decided on the monotype brief as it was the project I had the most ideas for and felt that it was a chance to draw attention to something that matters.
The issues I felt were most important were ones that are currently affecting women all around the world.
A lot of people believe that we have gender equality and don't need feminism, but this is very much not the case, even in the UK.
I created a survey to further pinpoint what issues the demographic in question felt had impacted them the most.

Videos
As I was initially thinking about doing an animation I looked at the below videos.
Tutorials
I researched kinetic typography.
Manifesto visuals
Looking at a different idea.
Redacted document
I looked at this as I may create something similar using answers from the survey, redacting information to show that women's experiences are being covered up.
Typography visuals
Type is the key element to this project, and as such I needed to do thorough research.

initial ideas

I was initially thinking about creating an animation, so I created a digital story board to show what it could look like.
I was thinking about creating some posters too. I made some visuals.

trying out some other ideas

I played with some type based ideas.

DEVELOPMENT

I decided to create a manifesto, written by utilising the words of women who responded to my survey.
I feel this will work well for this project, as it mentions authenticity and truth being of importance.
In this way I'm letting the voices of women who have lived these experiences be heard.
I will also potentially create something by redacting text.
I also want to try to create the posters I initially imagined, as I feel that these will go well together.
